Online Math Classes for Homeschool Students

Greetings homeschool families! I am excited to let you know that I will be offering online math classes again this upcoming year through Radial Tree.

Radial Tree has been supporting homeschool families for the past three years in the Raleigh area. We are NC certified, veteran math teachers that work with students in grades 8 – 12. Our math classes are specifically designed using the new national standards (http://www.corestandards.org), which are now expected by colleges and universities. In addition to offering guaranteed college-ready curricula, we also provide weekly teacher-lead online tutoring sessions, as well as 24/7 access to your certified math teacher and an array of video supports from places like Harvard, MIT, and Khan Academy.

We are currently enrolling for the 2012-13 school year in the following subjects: Math I (Algebra I), Math II (Geometry), Math III (Algebra II), Advanced Functions and Modeling, and Pre-Calculus Honors.

Tennis Camps

Tennis professional and homeschool mom Kirstie Marx is offering a camp this summer. Read the information provided below and contact Kirstie to register or with questions.  Scott Wylie

Tennis Camp in June

I am a tennis pro at Kildaire Farms Racket Club and a homeschool mum. I have taught tennis for over 24 years and have held tennis clinics in Cary for 15 years. I am certified at the professional level.

The club offers several camps during the summer but this one is specifically for homeschoole families and my coaches have all been homeschooled. Below is all the info on the camp. If you have any more questions please e-mail me at Kirstiemarx@mac.com or you can call me at 919-215-9622.

  • When: June 4-8th
  • Where: Kildaire Farms Racket and swim club in Cary. Near the intersection of Kildaire Farms and Cary Parkway. Minutes from Raleigh and Apex, Holly Springs.
  • TIme: 9-12
  • Cost:$150 (I have not raised my fees in over 7 years)
  • Levels: from beginner to advanced
  • Ratio: 1:6
  • Sign up: e-mail me to register kirstiemarx@mac.com

During the week we will cover all the strokes of tennis, go over rules and regulations, spend a few minutes in the pool to cool off and on Friday we will have a tennis tournament. We talk a lot about sportsmanship, tennis etiquette and how to grow as a player.

I offer clinics throughout the year but my favorite is the camps. I love being able to see how much the kids improve over the course of the week as they are playing so many hours of tennis. We have indoor racket ball courts so even if it rains we will play tennis.

I look forward to seeing you on the tennis courts.
