Earth Science

This course will use a traditional high school Earth Science text or equivalent supplemented with articles and books from Answers in Genesis. The focus of the 2-hour class will be 1 hour of lab work and 1 hour of class instruction. Areas covered include geology (rocks and minerals), meteorology (atmosphere and weather), astronomy (our solar system), and hydrology (water cycle). Further topics include interactions among these systems, their larger effect on our biosphere, and use and management of our resources. Students will be expected to write a lab report or similar report each week. Grades will be determined by periodic tests, reports, and mid-term and final exams.
