Closings and Delays: HARC will post closings on the homepage of the Shepherd’s Homeschoolers Website.  This is on a class basis depending on when the roads become difficult to drive on. Please check the site during bad weather.  Announcements for closures will be posted by 7 am.  In the event of closure, instructors have the option to move classes online.   We recognize that each family must choose safety for their students.  Make sure to contact your instructor to stay current with assignments.  Assignments are tracked on Canvas.

Career & Educational Paths for Your Student, Speaker Kim Willson, The Lodge on the second floor Children’s Center

Come out and learn about how to best use the high school years to launch your student onto their individual path regardless of the destination.

Mastering Homeschool Transcripts: How to Create a Professional Transcript Colleges Will Appreciate, Speaker Missy Fox, The Lodge on the second floor Children’s Center

Homeschool transcripts don’t need to be mysterious or intimidating. Join a Princeton homeschool mom to hear pointers that helped her kids get into their first-choice colleges with scholarships. We will discuss what to include, format options, course naming, GPA calculation, dual enrollment, complicated situations, and Q&A – bring your questions!

What’s included:

  • Do colleges accept homeschoolers?
  • How should I format a homeschool transcript?
  • Should I put any 8th grade courses on the transcript?
  • What counts as a credit on a homeschool transcript?
  • How do you list college dual enrollment?
  • How do you pick course titles
  • When are homeschool courses honors or AP?
  • What do I need to include on a transcript?
  • What grading scale should I use?
  • How do you calculate a weighted/unweighted GPA?
  • How do you make a homeschool diploma?
  • What records do I need to keep for my homeschooler?
  • Do I need to make course descriptions?

For the workshops, you can enter through the West Entrance, turn left and walk to the Children’s Center building.  Take the elevator to the 2nd floor and turn right.  The Lodge will be on your left.
