TeenPact Leadership School: North Carolina Class

TeenPact trains young people to be leaders who will impact the nation and world for Jesus Christ. This is a comprehensive leadership experience that challenges students to grow both personally and spiritually. During the week, students will enjoy meeting and interacting with other Christian young people and leaders from across their state. Students will come away from TeenPact with a realization of their spiritual capacity as young people and a desire to change America for Christ. I have the privilege of traveling to various states and participating in TeenPact classes. I have seen first hand the fruit of this ministry in the lives of students, including my two sons. I encourage you to make TeenPact part of your student’s homeschool calendar.

TeenPact is a ministry that trains young people to be leaders who will impact the nation and world for Jesus Christ. TeenPact is a comprehensive leadership experience that challenges students to grow both personally and spiritually. During TeenPact, students enjoy meeting and interacting with other Christian young people and leaders. Students come away from TeenPact with a realization of their spiritual capacity as young people and a desire to change America for Christ. Involvement with TeenPact begins with classes at the state capital. Graduates are invited to participate in much more that TeenPact, including various camps and advanced leadership training.

Spiritually, TeenPact teaches Biblical principles of government and family. The content goes hand-in-hand with the values of families who participate. It is very important that our young people see that spiritual revival is the answer to America’s problems – not politics. Studying government is beneficial in any vocation. TeenPacts’s hands-on civics courses offer an incredible platform for rhetoric, interpersonal communication, and current events. There is a great need for godly, powerful communication within any arena and TeenPact trains young people to fill that need.

Classes

Four Day Class (Monday through Thursday, ages 13-19)

The State Capitol Four Day Class is fast-paced and designed to give students the ultimate hands-on crash course in state government.  Having a student learn to find their way around the capitol, know where to find bills and how to read them, study and enjoy parliamentary debate run for a mock office during the week, and meet public officials all adds up to be an incredible experience. By spending four days at the capitol, TeenPact students are able to get behind the scenes to get a glimpse of what goes on beyond the marble steps.  They will get the entire story from elected officials, lobbyists and capitol staff.  Most school groups only see the statues and painting when they come to the capitol but we want our students to build relationships with the people who actually influence public policy.

Public Speaking Class (Friday, ages 13-19)

At the TeenPact Public Speaking Class, we seek to equip even the most timid of speakers with the knowledge and tools to speak effectively and with excellence. Using dynamic interactive exercises, an energetic staff, and a pressure-free atmosphere, students will be outfitted with the basic skills they need to defend their beliefs and speak in front of crowds with confidence. The greatest leaders in history have been men and women with the ability to mold language and speech eloquently for the purposes of inspiration, persuasion, and the defending of faith and ideals. The TeenPact public speaking class is a one-day introductory level speech course that will teach students excellence in communication in an exhilarating, easy-to-understand fashion.

TeenPact One Day Class (Friday, ages 8-12)

At the TeenPact One Day class, we understand that even learning about government can be fun. Students will see their capitol building, participate in public speaking exercises, and learn what the Bible has to say about the government. Each student will write a bill and have the chance to discuss it with other students in their “committee” during the mock legislature. Each activity made easy to understand with plenty of interaction and energy. Hands-on learning, an enthusiastic staff team and an encouraging atmosphere make this a class you’ll never forget!
