Free College Planning Workshop

Colonial Baptist Church is hosting a Free College Planning and Funding Night for Parents and High School Students on Tuesday Night, January 24th, 2012 from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. The event will be held at Colonial Baptist Church, 6051 Tryon Rd ~ Cary, NC 27518 in a room called “Colonial Corners.”

High school students are strongly encouraged to attend with their parents. After all, it is their college experience under construction! Join us for this educational and enlightening workshop, and learn about:

  •  Selection, admissions, and funding issues with in-state and out-of-state public & private colleges
  • Using personality & interest assessments to select colleges, majors, and careers that match who you are
  • The financial impact of a good college fit
  • Getting scholarships and other free money for your community service hours
  • Critical information you haven’t heard about completing financial aid forms
  • Reducing out-of-pocket college costs when you don’t qualify for financial aid
