This seminar is for parents of students in grades 4-12 who are interested in learning more about the Institute for Excellence in Writing method of teaching writing. We will introduce the style and structure taught in the IEW curriculum. 

This will be helpful if you are considering using this curriculum at home,r if you are placing your child in a co-op or class that uses IEW materials, or if you have used it at home and have questions. IEW has 9 units of writing instruction and we will cover the first 4 units in this seminar including: key word outlines, writing from outlines, dress ups and banned words, narrative stories, summarizing references and self-grading.
